Day Three - Belfast - Derry - Letter Kenny (Back in The Republic)

We left Belfast at 8am headed to Carrickfergus, and then drove along the scenic Antrim Coast.  We visited the Giants Causeway the Scenery is wonderful, amazing.  The giants causeway in Busmill is one of the wonders of the world, breath taking, some of us even climbed the cliffs looking to see if we could spot Scotland.  We stopped several times along the way to take pictures and lunch.  We spent most of the afternoon in Derry.  This City has a tremendous history much of it painful from the uprising in the 60's, with Belfast its was the heart of the tensions in the north.  Thankfully peace is reigning!  The city is breathtaking, we visited the cathedral and much of the city.  We walked on the walls with a great tour guide.  Our trusted driver guide has become part of the group his name is PJ, and is from Cork.  He has taken us into his heart, and is teaching us Irish folk songs and we are teaching him NL songs.  Today he drove us along hair raising cliffs and tunnels.  He finally delivered us safely to our hotel in Letterkenny.  We are tired - well feed and about to unleash our presence upon these poor people.  We leave tomorrow at 8am heading south for LoughDerg St. Patricks Purgatory and Sligo.
